Looking for 3rd & 4th year equivalent experience or greater in both renovation and new construction. We are looking to add “A Few Good Men” to our team to act as lead hands for our Project Supervisors. You should have experience and be comfortable with all types of carpentry including but not limited to formwork, framing and finishing. It would be expected that you be able to complete tasks assigned without constant supervision and be able to help manage the site, crew and sub trades in the absence of the Project Supervisor. You should have an excellent work ethic, solid communication skills, a complete array of tools, a reliable vehicle and be able to represent the company in positive fashion at all times. This position is ideally suited to someone that has aspirations to grow into a Project Supervisor role, and there is opportunity for apprentice sponsorship towards attaining a Red Seal. The successful candidate will have many years of experience in residential renovations and new custom home construction in BC. As well as a thorough knowledge of construction and BC Building codes, you will also possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead others and thrive in a team environment. You must be able to work within budgets and schedules, and have strong administration skills and comfort with basic computer skills. As Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for but not limited to: being responsible for executing the written scope of the contract, while maintaining tight control of the budget and schedule. You will represent the company with integrity and honesty at all times and be the first and primary point of contact with the client as well as the sub-trades. You will be supported in all aspects of the project by the Production Manager, our design team and the sales department. You will be responsible for site safety of any crew and sub trades as per Worksafe BC job site regulations. You will be inspecting quality of work by others on your team and that of the sub trades working under your direction, frequently and regularly to ensure only the best practices are followed and we are leaving behind a product we can stand behind with our 2/5/10 warranty and the homeowner can be proud of for years to come. A laptop, cellphone, large array of tools and reliable vehicle are required.
